PAINTED BY A CLASSICAL PAINTER & CONCEPT ARTIST
I’m Jarrad, the designer, sculptor and painter behind Tiles from the Crypt. My background is in classical painting, professional concept art, and over a decade of running tabletop games.
That combination shapes how I approach painted terrain. I think about atmosphere, contrast, color harmony, focal points, and readability the same principles used in traditional painting and entertainment design.
Every painted kit is finished as a complete environment, not just a collection of individual pieces. The goal is terrain that feels cinematic on the table, photographs beautifully, and still stays clear and functional during actual play.
FAQ
How much do painted commissions cost?
Pricing depends on the kit size, clipping, finish level, and project complexity. Smaller painted projects may start at a lower range, while large multi-kit environments are quoted individually after reviewing the scope.
Can I order a painted kit directly?
Painted kits are available by inquiry only. Since each one is painted by hand, I only accept a limited number of painted projects each month.
How long does a painted commission take?
Timing depends on the size of the project and the current painting schedule. Larger kits or multi-kit projects typically take between 1-2 weeks before they're ready to ship.
Can I request a custom color scheme?
Yes, within reason. Painted commissions can be guided by a mood, setting, or general color direction, while still keeping the terrain readable and cohesive.
